ART THIS MONTH

Rang a 4

We explored the colour wheel and mixing colours. We painted our own colour wheels in class.

We also had a look at the abstract work of Wassily Kandinsky.

 

We designed A3 folders and will use them as our Art Portfolios for the year and will be adding our artwork to them weekly.

           

‘I am….’

As a beginning of the year activity we discussed in class words we would use to describe ourselves, some words included:

• creative
• kind
• sporty
• important
• funny
• hard working
• successful
• strong
• happy

We then wrote out our chosen words on white card with black marker and designed them using watercolour paints. Each painting is unique however they all start with the words ‘I am..’
