Guide Dog Association visit our school

On the 5th of October 2006, the Guide Dog Association from Model Farm Road, Cork visited our school. A team of four trainers arrived in two vans with four dogs. The dogs were Labrador and Golden Retrievor breeds. A trainer called Cliona spoke to First and Fourth Classes about the six month training the dogs have. The dogs we saw are trained to be with a blind child and also some of the dogs are trained to be with an autistic child. The children and teachers asked lots of interesting questions. We were thrilled to be able to touch the beautiful dogs.

A huge thank you to the Guide Dog Association !
