Senior Infants really enjoyed their Easter Hunt today. Thanks to the boys and girls in fourth class for their help in organising the hunt and helping to hide the eggs.

Easter Activities in First Class
The boys and girls enjoyed the Easter activities in First Class. They painted Easter eggs, went on an Easter egg hunt and wrote really lovely Easter stories in Creative Writing. Here is one of their stories:
The Easter Bunny
It was Easter Sunday and all the children were waiting for their Easter eggs. The Easter Bunny was running late because his alarm did not go off. As fast as his legs could go he hopped with his basket of eggs. All the children were happy because they got their Easter eggs.

Our Monsters
For the past 2 weeks we have been learning all about dinosaurs. As a result we decided to make our own monster using recycled materials. Firstly, we planned our monster on paper. We then created it last week using lots of different materials and masking tape. Finally we finished them off by painting them using acrylic paint.
Fossils and Rocks
Over the past two weeks we have been learning about dinosaurs. As part of this theme we also learned about fossils and rocks. We examined different sandstone, siltstone and limestone using eye pieces. We even uncovered our own fossil from a piece pf clay. We also carried out an experiment to discover the different reaction acid has on different rocks. We even made our own fossils out of clay.
