Today we had a first aid workshop learning all about asthma and choking.
The children in fourth class had a busy morning learning about what to do in a variety of First Aid situations. They practised bandaging and more.
Fourth class were lucky enough to be invited to take part in a blitz at the rugby club in Bandon last Friday. They really enjoyed meeting and playing against other schools and enjoyed some lovely treats provided by the club afterwards.
The children in fourth class have been enjoying working on improving their tennis skills while having fun!
5th class thoroughly enjoyed a visit from local historian Pat Canniffe. We had a very interesting talk in our classroom about the history of our school and the cotton mills just down the hill. We then walked to see some of these local historical places.
Junior Infants led the assembly for the month of April. They showed how they have been learning all about the church and sang some songs!
The pupils of 5th class had a fantastic day at Bandon Grammar School for a rugby blitz!
We have started book club in 5th class. We were thrilled to have a guest speaker for our first meeting. Our very own author!
3rd class enjoyed planting peas as part of their work on the school garden.
