Amber Flag Initiative

Today we had a ‘Mental Health Awareness Day’ in our school. This is an important step in our journey to attaining an Amber Flag. We wore orange tops to school and had fun creating the letters of MENTAL HEALTH in the hall.

Marie Mills visited the classrooms to do some mindful activities with us.

Alison Kingston gave a presentation on nourishing our bodies and minds to rang 4 – 6

2nd class Mindful Activities

We had a fantastic day today working towards earning our Amber Flag for promoting positive Mental health!

We wore amber today to remind us of our goal!

We worked together to form the letter ‘A’ as part of our whole school collaborative project to make the word MENTAL HEALTH.

We had a Mindful session with Marie Mills where the children learned some mindful activities they can use in day to day life.

We worked on our mantra

I am Healthy!

I am Strong!

I am Happy!

I am Positive!
