Pop Art

In art last week we created ‘Pop Art’ images based on the work of artist Andy Warhol. Firstly, the children had to choose a logo. They then drew this logo. Then we traced the logo 4 times. We then used real colours, primary and secondary colours and crazy colours to finish our piece of art.

Winter Landscape Art with textured trees

We have been busy creating various winter scenes in our classroom. We first used shades of blue and purple to create the background. Then we added white to create beautiful tints on their paintings. We then had to tear a piece of white paper to create horizontal snow. We then glued it to the bottom of our painting. Next the children create trees starting by tearing trunks and then adding branches using black paper. We then added delicate snow on the branches and some delicate snowflakes. I hope you agree that their paintings are beautiful.
