Fifth Class produced a wonderful play entitled ‘Who wants to be a millionaire-Christmas Edition 2011’. All of the children worked very hard, with script and singing. The audience were very entertained by our interactive powerpoint display. Well done!
5th class were very busy sweeping up stones and dirt from the side of the school. Great job!
Last week the charity Bóthar gave a very interesting talk to the children of 4th, 5th and 6th classes.
Fifth Class visited the author Judi Curtin at Bandon Library recently. We have all read at least one of her books. She wrote the Alice and Megan series. She told us about how difficult it was to get on the publishing ladder, h0w a book cover illustration can influence to buy or not and where she gets her inspiration from.
Children of 4th,5th and 6th classes took part in our annual Christmas Carol Singing at Riverview Shopping Centre, Bandon on 9th Dec 2011. We sang for over 2 hours and raised a lot of money. We will donate the money to charity. Last year, the money bought a well for a poor village in India. Well done everybody!
Fifth Class are devouring novels at the moment! Each pupil has an opportunity to read one of 5 novels before Christmas. The novels are:

The Adventures of an Antartic Explorer-Tom Crean (Michael Smith)
Fifth class have recently been learning how to use Microsoft Powerpoint and we have even seen it in action as a number of students gave presentations to the class.
