Communion Choir 2023
Well done to all the girls and boys in the school choir who sang beautifully and very earnestly in Gaggin on Saturday morning, as they watched Second Class make their First Communion. Here are some of the children pictured outside the church afterwards.







Active Schools Flag
Today, Scoil Bhríde hoisted our Active Flag. This flag was awarded to Scoil Bhríde as a result of our active endeavours and our commitment to keep active. Pupils heard from members of the Active Schools Committee who encouraged pupils to keep active before raising the flag. Pupils were delighted to celebrate the occasion by sporting active clothing and completing active homework.
Lá Fhéile Pádraig celebrations ☘️☘️☘️
Rang 3 and Rang 4 enjoyed participating in a Tráth na gCeist and Céilí today. Pupils wore their shades of green to mark the occasion. Lots of fun was had by all!
Rubber Band Powered Boats In Fourth
The boys and girls in Fourth Class had lots of fun designing and making boats, using rubber bands and lollipop sticks to create propeller-like mechanisms that enabled the boats to move once launched in water!















Saint Patrick’s Day Decorations
The children in fourth were very happy to make some Saint Patrick’s Day decorations to display in Saint Michael’s Centre in Bandon next week.





Partner Yoga In Fourth Class
Partner yoga with Trish and Sarah is always so much fun. The boys and girls really enjoyed the challenge of coordinating the postures with one another. There was lots of laughter and the children learned how it is really important to listen to your partner!










World Book Day Shared Reading Fun
Fourth Class and Senior Infants had such a lovely time sharing their favourite books with one another. They read to one another, discussed the texts and pictures, got to know one another and celebrated World Book Day together!
















Lifetime Lab Primary Science Workshop
Fourth Class visted the Lifetime Lab recently and had a fantastic time! They enjoyed learning all about circuits and batteries; building test circuits for conductors and insulators of electricity. They engineered floor sweeping robots and buzz games and even tested whether or not one boy could conduct electricity!














































The Tallest Smallest Theatre
We had great excitement in school today when The BFG came to talk to us about books. He was very funny and we enjoyed his humorous chat.
