RNLI in Rang 5&6

Rang a cúig and Rang a sé enjoyed their talk on water safety from the RNLI. Thank you to Angela and Hank for all the information.

A huge thank you to our school community on such a successful day. The sun shone on us and the students, staff and parents completed an incredible 56km, which smashed our target of running a virtual marathon in conjunction with Cork Sports Partnership. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ Here is a snapshot of the day with loads more photos to follow at the end of the week. Well done everyone. 👏

Fitness class with Louise Shanahan

Rang a 3 enjoyed participating in an online fitness class with Irish athlete and Olympian Louise Shanahan today. Rang a 3 were thrilled to be able to learn some tips and tricks from Louise and enjoyed asking her questions in the Q and A session!

Yoga in Rang a 3 🧘

Rang a 3 had a super time with Trish yesterday morning! We learned how to move our bodies to stay flexible and how to calm our minds with our breathing which was apt after our exciting Q and A with Derval O’ Rourke, where she encouraged us to keep fit and healthy!

Q&A with Derval O’Rourke

The students had a wonderful morning chatting with Irish Olympian and Ireland’s Fittest Family coach Derval O’Rourke. She gave lots of advice, words of encouragement along with some great anecdotes of the trials and tribulations of life as an athlete. Thank you so much to Cork Sports Partnership for inviting us to such an enjoyable event. We look forward to taking some tips and applying them in our upcoming CrossMarathon event.
