Ag Ceiliuradh Seachtain na Gaeilge 2013

 

Táimid go léir ag súil go mór le Seachtain na Gaeilge.   
The pupils are looking forward to celebrating Seachtain na Gaeilge.  

The following events will be held during the week:

Tráth na gCeist,    Céilí for all classes,    Seisiún Ceoil for all classes
Comórtas/Talent Competition Rang 2 – Rang6
Comórtas/Art Competition Junior/ Senior Infants & Rang 1

Aoine 15ú – Lá Glas/Green Day.

On Friday 15th March the children can come to school in their casual clothes dressed to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. Remember to wear something green. Children are asked to contribute 2 euro on the day (max 5 euro per family). The money will go to the Parents’ Association fundraising activities.

School Choir

 

Our choir will entertain you with Christmas Carols on December 7th in Riverview Shopping Centre commencing at 11am.

The choir is partaking in the Advent Ceremony ‘ O Come Emmanuel’ in St. Patrick’s Church on Sunday December 8th commencing at 7pm.

Junior & Senior Infants:  Tuesday 11th – 1. 15pm & Wednesday 12th – 6.45pm

Rang 1: Monday 10th   –  6.45pm.

Rang 2: Monday 10th   –  7.45pm.

Rang 3: Monday 17th   –  6.45pm.

Rang 4 : Monday 17th   –  8pm.

Rang 5: Wednesday 12th  –  8pm.

Book Fair

 

Our school Book Fair will be held in association with Bandon Books on Tuesday 27th, Wednesday 28th and Thursday 29th November. Each class will be given an opportunity to view the books available at the Book Fair and we encourage parents/guardians to purchase books as Christmas presents.

Opening Times
12 30pm-1pm each day for pupils from Rang 1-Rang 6.

2pm-3pm each day for parents/guardians. Infants can visit the Book Fair at this time with an adult.

6 30pm-8 30pm on Wednesday 28th. All Welcome

Scoil Bhride Supporting Bandon GAA Club

Bandon Premier Intermediate hurlers will play in the County Final v Ballinhassig on Sunday 7th October in Páirc Uí Chaoimh. We wish them well. To show our support for the team the pupils can come to school on Friday 5th October wearing their casual clothes. Remember to wear something yellow/white – Bandon GAA colours. Droichead na Banndan Abú.

Health Promoting School

As a Health Promoting School we encourage the pupils to bring a healthy lunch to school every day. During the month of October we will be particularly focusing on healthy eating.

Tasty Tuesday
The pupils will have a special fruit break each Tuesday during the month of  October to further emphasise the importance of healthy eating and of bringing a healthy lunch to school.
