Youtube message from the North Pole!

Cian is the  basecamp manager for the Lifeproof Ice Project of Mike O Shea & Clare O Leary.   The team did up a video for the 3rd and 1st class groups in Scoil Bhríde, Crossmahon, just before they left for the North Pole and asked Cian to share the video with us.
First and Third classes are following Clare & Mike on their expedition on theiceproject.org where we see a daily map update etc.
The YouTube video is here, it’s really worth a look! :  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wu0VCY0GrTY&list=UU_sVY4ttrcxrt1hFoXz3e2Q&feature=share

Lifetime Lab

This week fourth class were lucky enough to have the opportunity to visit the Lifetime Lab in Cork City. Our tour focused on electricity. We started off learning about the different uses for electricity.

We then created different circuits using a battery, black and red wires along with crocodile clips. We then used lightbulbs, motors and buzzers to create our circuit.

We made a circuit using a switch which then helped us to light up our house. We then set up a buzzer game and finished with an electricity quiz.
