Pupils and staff enjoyed the celebrations today when John O’Connell raised the National Health Promoting School Flag. This event signifies our ongoing commitment to the Health Promoting School Programme, which enables us to focus on healthy eating, active living and positive social environments. Thank you to John for giving up his time, to Dan Keohane for all his help and to O’Leary’s Centra, Irishtown, for providing fruity treats for the pupils on the day.

We have a beautiful Advent Wreath in our hall. The Advent Wreath can help us to count down the weeks until Christmas-the birth of Jesus. One candle is lit each week. When all four candles are lighting, it means that Christmas Day is very near! The purple coloured candles represents hope, love and peace. The pink candle represents joy and the white candle represents Christmas.
