3D Shape Constructions
The children love playing with the giant polydrons and 3 D shapes. Future architects and engineers in the making!
Day 1-Maths Week
First Class enjoyed playing maths games today. The children played against their partner with 1 dice and then we added a 2nd dice to add an addition element to their games. Great fun on day 1!
Senior Infants designed and made shape monsters as part of Maths Week!
Today senior infants created their own shape monsters. They drew the monsters and gave them names. We talked about all the shapes that they used!
Maths Trail in 4th Class
We had great fun this morning finding examples of Lines and Angles around the school.
Enjoying Kahoot! in 5th class
Our fun maths activity for maths week was a Kahoot quiz. We needed good team work!!!!
Rang a 3 can “cycle right”
Rang a 3 enjoyed their third session of “Cycle Right” this morning. They learned how to use hand signals to tell other road users which direction they will be turning, the meaning of different road signs, road markings and tested their knowledge by participating in a quiz!
Halloween preparations in 5th
Halloween fun in Junior Infants
Junior Infants have been enjoyed their Halloween themed Aistear this week. They’ve made potions in water play and in the Witch’s Kitchen, painted spooky pumpkins and designed and built their very own haunted houses. 🎃
2D Shape Fun
Rang a 3 used and applied their knowledge of regular and irregular 2D shapes today when sorting 2D shapes, creating 2D shapes using different materials, creating images using tangrams and when solving and designing their own riddles to show their 2D shapes knowledge.
